In the film, a defense attorney (played by Jodie) uncovers a far-reaching conspiracy around a suspected 9/11 terrorist (played by Tahar) imprisoned at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Jodie and Tahar discuss their respective roles, what it’s like to embody real life characters under intense circumstances, and the aspects they felt were important to tell in this story.
