Over the Thanksgiving holiday in 2020, Courteney Bailey, MPTF’s Chief Development Officer, spoke with MPTF Board of Governors Chairman Jeffrey Katzenberg on MPTF Influencers, a weekly program on MPTF Studio’s Organized Chaos. One day many years ago, Jeffrey’s office received a call from Lew Wasserman’s assistant as if to confirm an appointment for the following morning. She said, “Mr. Wasserman will be seeing Mr. Katzenberg at 9 am tomorrow at his office.” But upon checking the calendar, there was no such meeting on an already busy day. The puzzled response didn’t faze the caller, “Yes, but Mr. Wasserman will be seeing Mr. Katzenberg at 9 am tomorrow morning.” Jeffrey recounts the story with a smile and fondness for the journey to come.
