Child Care

The Samuel Goldwyn Foundation Children’s Center for children 8 weeks to 6 years of age.

A partnership between MPTF and Bright Horizons, the Samuel Goldwyn Foundation Children’s Center helps those working in the entertainment industry meet the challenge of demanding work schedules. Early education professionals guide specialized programs for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergarten-age children. We offer a broad spectrum of programs to explore in a structured yet gentle environment. The generosity of the Goldwyn family who enabled its founding have made the Center a key resource for the entertainment industry.

For a limited time, friends and family working outside the entertainment industry are being accepted by referral. You’ll receive a free week of tuition after 90 days enrollment of the newly referred family. Click here for the referral form >

Flexible Care for Busy Industry Parents

Children aged eight weeks through six years are eligible for enrollment to the Center, which is open from 7:45 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. Generously supported by the Samuel Goldwyn Foundation and operated by Bright Horizons, the center embraces the philosophy that children learn through play and hands-on participation in a responsive, nurturing environment that meets the developmental needs of infants and young children.

A LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

  • Discovery Driven Learning – Science framework that builds on decades of research and child development finding and philosophies to prepare children for school and life.
  • Fundraisers provide additional monthly enrichment experiences such as music and dance classes, Spanish immersion, animal and puppet shows.
  • Kindergarten 101 and other parent education classes are also offered.

CAREGIVERS WHO CARE

Our child-to-teacher ratios follow the guidance of our accrediting body, NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children), and vary age group to age group. Our current staff has been with us for up to 20 years, with an average of 9.75 years—well above the norm. We also offer once a year enrichment events for children including a drum circle performance and visits like the traveling Cabrillo Aquarium and Wildlife Learning Center.
