Continuing in the spirit of Mary Pickford’s legacy of seeing a need and filling it, Kim Crabb, Location Manager for Hollywood Teamsters Local 399, is doing just that. In August of last year, Kim played a pivotal role in coordinating logistics for a food distribution event hosted by MPTF for members of IATSE and Local 399 affected by the strike… including herself. 
Following nearly a year without work as a location manager, Kim dusted off her real estate license, joining Keller Williams Hollywood Hills to pursue new opportunities. When the KW office sought nonprofits to support through their commitment to philanthropy and their annual day of giving Red Day (Renew, Energize and Donate), Kim pointed them in our direction.
Recognizing that staging a home is part of a realtor’s toolkit, MPTF Director of Engagement Fredda Johnson saw the potential synergy between KW’s generosity and MPTF’s mission. Now, as MPTF is once again offering tours of its campus to potential residents, a team from Keller Williams’ Calabasas and West Hollywood offices led by Set Decorator Linda Louise Sheets from IATSE Local 44 staged one of MPTF’s residential cottages with their donations of furniture and accessories. They also refreshed an outdoor area used by staff and residents alike. KW HH Team leader Renee Pietrangelo, Coach Sonia Rolland, Realtor Jess Arroyo (pictured here), and Kim helped create this day of giving to MPTF with a team of 20 realtors joining together providing energy and work, while local vendors donated funds and items. This collaboration beautifully fulfills a need while providing prospective residents with a vivid vision of a cottage’s possibilities, thanks to the creative touch of Team KW.
