Anna Musky-Goldwyn’s great grandfather, Samuel Goldwyn, was a motion picture legend in Hollywood’s Golden Age and a strong supporter of what was then the Motion Picture Relief Fund. Her grandfather was prolific film producer, Samuel Goldwyn, Jr., who contributed greatly to making MPTF the force it is today. And her father, Tony Goldwyn, is an actor, producer, director, and member of the MPTF Board of Governors. Filmmaking isn’t the only thing that runs in the Goldwyn blood: they also embody an impressive commitment to philanthropy in the entertainment industry.

Anna is a writer and serves as a member of the Board of Directors for MPTF’s NextGen, a group committed to the future of MPTF. Watch this father-daughter conversation from our most recent NextGen virtual gathering where Anna asks her dad how he first started giving back and why. Tony talks about staying the course in Hollywood, how it was to play a gay character at a time when few had, and how he rides the ebb and flow of a long career. It’s a heartwarming and compelling conversation we know you’ll enjoy.
