Here at MPTF we’re overjoyed to have so many great volunteers generously give their time all year round with activities and programs both at the Wasserman Campus and throughout Los Angeles. This holiday season, their dedication is unwavering, even with Covid restrictions, and we thank everyone who gives back from the bottom of our hearts.
Take a look at this festive list of giving back! Holiday food deliveries in November and December were made possible by participants from Shalom Disney, IATSE Locals, and individual MPTF supporters. Meanwhile, holiday Angel Cards are being written by The National Charity League, The Samuel Goldwyn Children’s Center, The Animation Guild, and volunteers from all over the world. Handmade Thanksgiving placemats were crafted by a local elementary school, The National Charity League paired moms and daughters who made blankets for residents, and NextGen members will wrap gifts to be distributed to residents. Hasbro/eOne Entertainment are making holiday Care Calls, playing Mafia with residents on Creative Chaos, and sending videos of themselves making residents’ favorite recipes. NBCU sent gifts of adult coloring books for residents and will be playing Mafia, too, and as with the last 55 years, the MPTF Volunteer Guild will use the funds they raise through dues to buy, beautifully wrap, and distribute holiday gifts to the 230+ residents on The Wasserman Campus. Please come play your part and volunteer with MPTF.
