“My first contribution to MPTF was March 23, 1975,” Michael And Janice Papadakirecalls Michel Papadaki, who came to California from Connecticut via Greyhound Bus at the age of 18 in 1959 with $100 in his pocket. Retired since 2003, with executive positions in the industry including Senior Vice-President of CFI Consolidated Film Industries and VP of Sales at Technicolor, Michel and his wife, Janice Papadaki, a negative cutter for many years and an MPTF Volunteer Guild member, decided to make MPTF part of their estate planning, a generous way to support the causes you love and make a difference.

“My first TV show that I worked on was Stoney Burke with Jack Lord, and the unit production manager was Lynn Parsons, who later in life was an MPTF resident,” Michel explains. “He was one of my best friends, and the least thing I can do is contribute back to MPTF. This industry has sustained me and Janice, going all over the world including South America and Europe. We both feel it’s important to make as much contribution as possible for people who come here to California and have this dream just like I did, to get the help they need. I think estate planning was in the back of both of our minds, and one day when we were getting our papers together, we thought it was the necessary thing to do. What’s lacking right now is ongoing cooperation within the entertainment industry; it should be in everybody’s paycheck to contribute something if they can.” To find out how you can make a difference with your estate planning today, click here >
