We’re very pleased to report that MPTF once again just received a Five-Star Rating in 2023 from CMS.gov, which created the Five-Star Quality Rating System through the Medicare.gov site to help consumers, their families, and caregivers compare nursing homes more easily and to help identify areas about which you may want to ask questions. Based on health inspections, staffing, and quality measures, this is a welcome reinforcement of how we take care of our own right here on campus.
“It’s an honor to maintain a Five-Star rating,” said Jennifer Calixto MBA HCM, BSN, RN, Director, Long Term Care. “It’s a reflection of the dedication and hard work of our team in providing quality care despite the challenges of the pandemic. The wearing of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) didn’t hinder us in providing personal and intimate care when our residents needed it most. This rating has encouraged us, even more, to continue to live with our mission statement: to support our residents in living and aging well, with dignity and purpose. We treat our workplace as our home, our residents and co-workers as family members. We don’t only serve, but we care with a heart.”
