Home Safe Home
Creating a safe living environment is a critical step toward healthy aging. At MPTF, we’re committed to helping seniors stay in their homes. Small changes can make a big difference: a rug that’s covered the floor for years, for example, can suddenly be a potential hazard, or reaching for an item that’s always been on the top shelf has now become difficult. MPTF’s Home Safe Home program truly builds safety into homes for seniors and others in need.
Home Safe Home offers free home safety evaluations, provides free or low-cost modifications for large-scale home revitalization, and utilizes the skilled labor of a volunteer corps of entertainment industry members to provide small home modifications such as grab bars, security features, tub rails, smoke alarms, and more. The program responds to important home safety needs and provides attention to detail that helps people to continue living at home longer, more comfortably, and independently.
Watch videos of these special projects on MPTF’s YouTube Page and see teams of MPTF volunteers come together to help fellow industry members remain safe in their homes.
