The Comedians Assistance Fund

MPTF’s Comedians Assistance Fund provides a safety net of social services to comedians including emergency financial assistance, counseling and referrals, health care and insurance guidance, senior care, and more. For nearly 100 years MPTF has been committed to taking care of our own by providing life-changing assistance to our entertainment industry family.

As part of Comedy Central’s new commitment to drive culture change on mental health Clusterfest and Comedy Central are asking talent agents and managers to donate at least $25 to MPTF’s Comedians Assistance Fund to receive tickets to Clusterfest. We encourage you to give generously to further support addressing mental health challenges in the comedy community.

To refer a client to the Comedians Assistance Fund please reach out to MPTF at 323-634-3888

As part of Comedy Central’s efforts to drive culture change on mental health at Clusterfest, we also invite you to:

Our Festival of Friendship — come be a part of the “Enjoy It!” collective art mural inspired by Brody Stevens and receive a pair of friendship bracelets with more information from non-profit partner Mental Health First Aid.

Comedy and Mental Health: A Hilarious Conversation: a panel of comedians will discuss the intrinsic relationship between comedy and mental health.  Panel will include truth, jokes, and an audience Q&A.
